Hi, I'm Annie!
I've been crocheting since I was 15, when my Nanny taught me the craft that would become my cherrished hobby. For over 2 decades, I've created everything from baby blankets and massive afghans to scarves, hats, and dishcloths.
But it wasn't until last Christmas, when I started making "emotional support chickens," that I discovered something magical. These cuddly creatures brought pure joy - both in creating them and in seeing the happiness they brought to others.
The Comfort Creatures Story
My yarn collection is... extensive (ask Max - he'll tell you!). Each Comfort Creature is made with quality Canadian yarns, carefully chosen for their softness and durability. As someone who's always loved and collected stuffed animals, I understand the importance of that perfect cuddly texture.
Crochet is a repetitive craft that requires patience and skill. Even as arthritis begins to visit my fingers, the joy of creating these companions keeps me going. There's something special about bringing a creature to life, stitch by stitch, knowing it will become someone's cherished friend.
What started as a holiday project has become a beautiful journey. Creating Comfort Creatures allows me to share the joy that stuffed animals have always brought me. Because everyone deserves someone to love, even if that someone is a cuddly crochet chicken, octopus, or pickle.
